Chocolate Biscuits
Method


1. Apron on, wash hands. Get equipment out!

2.  Put butter and sugar into mixing bowl. Beat together until light and fluffy.

3.  Crack egg into jug and add milk. Add to mixture in mixing bowl.

4.  Beat the mixture together until well combined.

5.  Sift the flour/cocoa powder into bowl – GRADUALLY!

6.  Mix together to make a soft dough

7.  Lightly flour table. Roll out dough to approximately ½ cm thick

8.  Cut out shapes and place on lined baking tray.

9.  Cook at 180 c/ Gas mark 4 for 10-12 minutes.

10. When biscuits are cooked place on wire rack to cool.

85g Butter softened

6 Tablespoons castor sugar

1 egg

1 Tablespoon Milk

225g plain flour

2 Tablespoons cocoa powder
Equipment
2 baking trays lined with greaseproof paper

Large mixing bowl

Wooden spoon

Jug

Sieve

Flour dredger

Variations
Chocolate biscuits can be made with some variations to the recipe. You could add chocolate drops or nuts to the recipe at stage 5 with the flour. What other things can you think of adding? Remember, be adventurous and creative!
