Developing Ideas |
After your initial ideas you will
need to focus in to one or two areas, in order to home in on your ideas
and to eventually find a Best Idea that fits your specification perfectly.
Your Developing of Ideas should show progression and be backed up by
testing and experimental work. |
Flow of ideas |
Your ideas must show development, some of the easiest
ways to do that is to alter shape, materials and sometimes the function.
These developments must be shown in your actual folder but can be backed
up by sketches in your sketch book. |
Modifications |
What would you change? What substitutes could
you make?
Could you make your product duel purpose? Could the form or function
fo your product be modified in any way? You can ask people for thier
opinions on your products to see if they have any ideas.
This process you can then try in your product development, to make it fit
closer to your specification. |
Refinement |
Make the smallest changes to your design to show refinement
, whether it be to the finish, or the size. But you final product
has to be precise. |
ICT |
When developing an idea ICT can be useful, as you can
save your work and then make alterations to it, then save again. Just
a few clicks of the mouse could save you having to draw the same picture
ten times over. |
Materials |
The materials used in any product gives it its aesthetic
appeal. By altering or developing
the materials you can change your entire product. This has to be considered
in developing your ideas as the changes in materials used, even in
the quality of materials used can have an effect. |
