Research / Analysis
Your research is looking in to the project you have been given. It has to be wide search at the start but then you have to refine your research into more specific areas
Considerations What things do you have to think about before you undertake this project?
Planning / Justification Plan your research
What method of research is available to you?
Consider both Primary and Secondary.
Which ones do you use, give reasons for your selection and rejection.
Focused Research

In depth Research into the particular area.
Research can be backed up by essays.
Looking into other available products.
Producing an 'image board' showing the target audience and inspirational elements for your designs.

Analysis Breaking down your project in areas for research, one common way of doing this is the "who, what, why, when, where and how?" technique
Synthesis How your research relates to the project you are studying? Is it worthwhile? How has it helped?
Implementation Carrying out your research. This can include primary and secondary forms of research eg.questionnaires, visits, internet searches. You must say what have learnt from that form of research.
