Proof!
You must put in a photo of your practical.

Your evaluation should be for the WHOLE task not just the practical
· The whole of the project should be evaluated, not just the practical.
This means that YOU have to judge your own work and make personal comments about it.

You have to decide how well you have worked? And be truthful!

Evaluate your work under the following headings, using the questions as a GUIDELINE!

Did you learn anything?
If so, what did you learn?
What was your research like?
What was the best method of research that you used?
What was the worst?
Could you have done more?
What could you have done?

Were your reasons for choice valid?
Did they fit the brief you had set yourself?

Practical work!
Planning

· Did I plan my work out well?
· Did I have enough time to complete all tasks?
· Did I have everything I needed before I started?
· Did I prepare my work thoroughly before I started?

Method
· Was your method used correct?
· Did you work safely?
· Did you clean up as you went along?
· Did I work to my time scale?
· Could I have improved my method in any way?
· Did I work neatly and hygienically?
· Could I have used other equipment to save time?

Cost
· How much did my dish cost?
· Why was this?
· Could you have saved money in anyway?
· Did you cost very little? – Did you buy multi-savers, fruits in season, did you already have some of the ingredients?

Outcome
· Were my results acceptable?
· How could I have improved my presentation?
· What other dish could I have made instead?
· Did I choose the correct dish? – Could I have made it more interesting?
· Comment on the texture / Flavour/ colour/ appearance
· Do a tasting panel, use star diagrams – YOU MUST DO THIS TO REACH A GRADE ’C’ OR HIGHER.
· If I were to do it again what would I change/ improve/ do differently?
